just made it! tastes like a real one :)

i just made this mojito smoothie :)

I added Brown Cow vanilla yogurt and <1 tsp of turbinado sugar, as I'm currently without bananas and ice trays (the ice from the icemaker taste plastic-y/chemical-y).

Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed this smoothie.

The drink definitely can be made without ice. I am picky, however and I always like to add ice to my smoothies. For me a smoothie without ice just isn't a smoothie, but it's a matter of personal preference.

One tip, since you don't like the taste of the ice from the ice tray. If you do try this again and you have bananas, what you can do is freeze a few bananas a day or two before. Peel them, break them in half or in small pieces first, and freeze in a ziploc bag. Then toss them in the smoothie instead of ice.

I used to do this all the time when I had to use a blender that was too weak to break down ice cubes. I actually like the flavor it adds...the smoothie comes out less watered down and a bit sweeter, as the bananas add natural sugar (cutting out the need to add extra sugar).

I hope you enjoy!
